What is https/ssl - Google to boost a small ranking for sites using the https

My site https://www.zedsoccer.com is running 100% on https/ssl. Great steps from Google in securing the internet as beginning last year or so Google's core update will use https/ssl and mobile friendly to boost a small ranking for sites using the ssl certificates.

What is https

Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to. The 'S' at the end of HTTPS stands for 'Secure'. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted.

https/ssl is more secure in the browsing history. It is the same protocol you use when you visit sites like the banking or woocommerce such as Ebay or Amazon.

This means that when you visit a site like https://wwwzedsoccer.com or this same one both the site and your information is more secured than when using http.
